This series of introductory and refresher courses are for persons responsible for the moving and handling of people in hospitals, care homes, day centres, clients’ own homes and the community.

There is a choice of 4 courses

1. Moving & Handling of People (Foundation)
   • This entry level 2 day course will give delegates the knowledge and practical skills needed to handle loads and people safely. Delegates will also be equipped to carry out basic moving & handling risk assessments.
2. Moving & Handling of People (Standard)
   • This 1 day entry level course will provide new staff with knowledge and practical skills in the safe handling of loads and people in a care setting.
3. Moving & Handling of People (Update)
   • This intermediate level half day course will refresh staff knowledge and practical skills in the safe handling of loads and people in a care setting.
4. Moving & Handling For Enablement Workers
   • This 1 day intermediate level course will introduce delegates to the concept of supporting clients’ mobility in the enablement service.
